Oro Negro Film Festival stands as source of energy to promote, exhibit, learn and develop film projects in the southern region of Veracruz, aiming to use cinema as a tool for social cohesion.

A local project offering cultural entertainment options and a platform to create exchanges between young people interested in film production with experimented professionals.



Botánica de Proyectos collaborates closely since the first edition as festival advisor supporting the development of editorial, press, marketing, and project management strategies to promote brand ownership and a sense of community around the festival.

Oro Negro Film Festival (Black Gold Film Festival)

Created in 2016 by Johnny Olán Ochoa, film producer and entrepreneur, committed to create cultural awareness and social reconstruction through cinema. Founded with the objective of building a platform for the creative industry in Coatzacoalcos, Minatitlán and Nanchital. Key cities in the southern region of Veracruz, where oil industry has been the main economical resource and which for a considerable period the region has suffered social problems related to insecurity.
